Cameron Aubin is an Assistant Professor of Robotics at the University of Michigan. research interests lie at the intersection of robotics, materials science, and energy systems. Specific areas of focus include biologically-inspired robots and energy systems, soft robotics, microrobotics, energy materials, advanced manufacturing technologies, additive manufacturing, and biohybrid systems.
He obtained my PhD in mechanical engineering from Cornell University in 2023. As a member of the Organic Robotics Laboratory, he designed robots with unique embodied energy systems that enabled increased autonomy, efficiency, and multifunctionality.
Prior to attending Cornell, he received a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Duke University. Cameron Aubin studied abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia, and Cameron Aubin was also a faculty member at a Virginia boarding school, where he taught biology, engineering, and mathematics courses.
