Université catholique de Louvain

Université catholique de Louvain, or UCLouvain, is a French-speaking research university located in the region of Wallonia, Belgium. Founded in 1834, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe. The university offers a wide range of programs in areas such as law, medicine, engineering, humanities, social sciences, and theology, among others. It has several campuses spread across the cities of Louvain-la-Neuve, Brussels, Mons, Charleroi, and Tournai.

UCLouvain is recognized for its research excellence and is a member of the League of European Research Universities (LERU). It is also part of the Coimbra Group, an association of leading European universities. The university has a vibrant international student community, with more than 30% of its student body coming from outside Belgium.
