The Grad601 is a high-resolution fluxgate gradiometer. It measures tiny variations in the magnetic field, which are caused by hidden anomalies in the ground, such as archaeological and forensic features, pipes, cables, or unexploded ordnance (UXO).
The full system includes single or dual Grad-01-1000L sensors mounted on a rigid carrying bar, a data logger, and a battery cassette. Calibration is easy via an automated procedure. We also offer a product calibration service.
The data logger’s non-volatile flash memory holds surveyed grids. These can be downloaded as individual files, so different-size grids may be recorded during a survey. For GPS-based surveys, a cart system can be supplied for mounting of Grad-01-1000L sensors. For more information see Non-Magnetic Cart.
If you already use the Grad601, you can easily adapt your existing equipment to the cart system, which can reduce update costs.
